There are stories in this book to fit a variety of interests. If the reader would like to get away from the noises and nuisances around him, he should turn to those under "Spice of Yesteryear". Living in other times and countries, the storytellers whisk o out of a world of make-believe. They are different from your favorites out of Greek or Indian mythology, but quite as exciting and adventurous. There are, for example, Leviathan, king of the creatures of all the seas, who when he must can even quote from Bible; the man in the bottle, smaller than Tom Thumb, whose little finger makes even the great Maimonides tremble; and the great man made of clay, the Golem of Progue, who was more powerful than Samson against the Philistines of his time.
