Book Synopsis: What is the relation of Christianity to society, of Christian Faith to the complex problems of social policy? On this question there has been a growing interest in recent years. However, it will also not be far wrong to say that confusion has kept pace with interest. The writers of this volume disclaim any panacea for the vexing problems indeed it is an important aspect of the viewpoint which draws us together to assert that there are no such panaceas. But perhaps we may be permitted to express the hope that the essays we have written will make a modest contribution to the clarification of some of the urgent and complicated problems in this field.
